Creative industries

We, the vocational training centres participating in the Creative Industries Tkgune, offer companies our technical ability and resources with a view to providing solutions to their improvement and innovation proposals based on 3D animation techniques, modelling, on-screen object virtualisation and the making of prototypes using 3D printing.

We provide the necessary technical support for the introduction and launch of storage and communication management systems in addition to the development of websites with dynamic content, including advice on proposed improvements with regard to the company’s network infrastructure and connectivity.

We can therefore offer companies a global vision of all systems, components and elements making up a current computer service. In this process, the company will receive personalised tutoring by our professionals, added to the possibility of using our centre network as a testbed, prior to introduction of the production process. Our global view of the world of new technologies and communications means that we have a good perspective of new market trends. This puts us in a privileged position with regard to familiarising ourselves with the new market solutions and spreading this knowledge to the companies in our community, thereby helping to place them on the first line of the market.

To develop 3D animation systems, object modelling and virtualisation, we have complete computer installations with systems based on both Windows and MAC, in addition to the corresponding development and programming software. We also carry out functional and performance tests on already existing applications and developments in relation to 3D animation and modelling, in addition to revising 2D and 3D modelling files, codes and interactions.

To develop and introduce information management and knowledge systems in the area of CTI, we have a CPD with several production servers, including corporate communication (Zimbra), cloud storage (ownCloud), personal publication (WordPress), learning content management systems (Moodle), network storage (FreeNAS), VPN business connectivity solutions and Open Source (proxmox) virtualisation platforms.

SPECIALIZATION

2D/3D MODELLING

Revision of files, code and modelling interactions in 2D and 3D formats. Graphic solutions in A3D for explaining processes and products.

PRODUCT VIRTUALISATION

Virtualisation of products on screen and in 3D modelling. 3D printing.

Creation, optimisation and adaptation of video games. Motion capture and application to virtual models (bipeds). Integration of 3D objects and effects to image and real video.

SUCCESS STORIES

This solution is dedicated to maintaining the infrastructure network free of viruses and intrusion attempts, filtering web pages and emails with unwanted or dangerous content. In addition,releases resources for web servers with the help of a reverse web proxy.

This security solution designed for organizations with up to 500 users includes a comprehensive package of network services; with latest generation firewall, content filtering, web search filtering, intrusion prevention based on SNORT®, web caching, WAN optimization, several WAN uplinks and 4G fault tolerance.

This application was developed in PHP and MySQL in course 2005/2006 and then in 2013 was acquired by more than 15 vocational training centers in the Basque Country. The implementation in those training centers, of an improved version of this application is performed by an external company. All of them have been virtualized over machines with Proxmox. Afterwards several of these applications are implemented by an external company in other vocational training institutes of the Basque Country. For example, Fadura (Zimbra and OpenVPN) and San Jorge Jorge (Zimbra an Firewall Builder) vocational training Centers.

This solution was developed as part of a project by students of “multiplatform applications development” vocational trainig grade. The work was carried out during the course 2014/15, by using the Java programming language, and is currently available for Android devices. Subsequently, using the main ideas and stored experience, it was rewritten by the company Irekisoft company, using the Apache Cordova environment (HTML, CSS and JavaScript). It is now available for both Android and iOS systems.

This work shows various key elements of an internal combustion engine, on a 24″ touch screen. The user can interact with this screen by selecting those elements which want more information about; in the form of text documents, graphics and video. Simultaneously an electronic control module located within the motor and connected to the computer, will signal each user selected elements, by the lighting of LEDs.

This work was carried out in collaboration with the Basque company Wifinova, leader in facilities of wireless networks. The work involved the connection of three access points and a wireless controller to the local network of the institute; in order to check the performance and accuracy of a new via Wi-Fi location technology. Access points have been physically located in the hall of the Institute and has been enabled a VPN connection to the headquarters of the company, consequently enabling it to monitor and control the system remotely.

This service has been offered to a telecommunications sector company, in order to provide training to one of its technicians on the basic operation of various test, qualification and certification equipment of structured cabling facilities and the way of working with optical fibbers equipment. Then such equipment has been used in customer installations.
