class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Tkgune-2017-XX project was completed at the beginning of 2017, and in it the optimization of the manufacturing process of an automotive reference called Caliper Pin was carried out. The different references of the Caliper Pin family of pieces have to be obtained by cold forging, since they are usually pieces of responsibility due to the stresses they have to face.<\/p>\n<p>La optimizaci\u00f3n llevada a cabo en el proyecto trajo como consecuencia un ahorro de materia prima de un 18% para cada pieza fabricada, y adem\u00e1s la eliminaci\u00f3n de una operaci\u00f3n secundaria de mecanizado posterior, con el ahorro que ello implica en t\u00e9rminos de tiempo y de consumo de herramientas de mecanizado.<\/p>\n<p>Temsa, el socio impulsor del proyecto, es una empresa fabricante de herramientas para forja de precisi\u00f3n. En el desarrollo del proyecto, Temsa se encarg\u00f3 de buscar un cliente final interesado en la mejora dise\u00f1ada, lo que permiti\u00f3 llevar a la pr\u00e1ctica el proceso de fabricaci\u00f3n ideado y dise\u00f1ado por el profesorado del Miguel Altuna. El proceso se test\u00f3 y optimiz\u00f3 primeramente a nivel te\u00f3rico mediante un software de simulaci\u00f3n num\u00e9rica en el Miguel Altuna, y seguidamente Temsa dise\u00f1\u00f3 y fabric\u00f3 el herramental para poder testar a pi\u00e9 de m\u00e1quina el potencial y la validez del trabajo desarrollado.<\/p>\n<p>El fabricante de elementos de fijaci\u00f3n implicado es estadounidense, y la planta donde se realizaron las pruebas se halla en el estado de Kentucky. Las pruebas se llevaron a cabo con \u00e9xito en marzo de 2017.<br \/>\nPor \u00faltimo, decir que el proyecto fue presentado como caso de \u00e9xito mediante una presentaci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica llevada a cabo por los profesores del Miguel Altuna implicados, en el Plenary Meeting del ICFG (International Cold Forging Group) celebrado en Ohio en Octubre de
