From the time the Public Schools of the Llodio Valley were established in 1870 until the current formation of Laudioalde Lanbide Eskola, our facilities have been dedicated uninterruptedly for more than 150 years to educational work.

During this century and a half, young people from different eras have found in training help to fulfill their dreams.

With the economic development of the 60s and 70s, the titular institutions considered the need to strengthen the school’s focus on vocational training and collaborate in the industrial fabric of the region. Since 1972, under the ownership of the City Council of Llodio and the institution of La Salle in charge of pedagogy, the Municipal Center has been constituted as a center of Baccalaureate and Vocational Training.

Since January 1, 2017, the center has been integrated into the public network, becoming dependent on the Ministry of Education of the Basque Government, with the name of IES Laudioalde Lanbide Eskola BHI.

The centre’s Regulated Vocational Training is organised into four levels: Basic Level Training Cycles, Intermediate Level Training Cycles, Higher Level Training Cycles and Specialisation Courses. These teachings, in turn, are structured into professional modules (they are the subjects or subjects) of different nature: associated with units of competence, transversal, Training and Career Guidance, Business and entrepreneurial initiative, as well as Training in Work Centers (FCT).

Laudioalde is part of TKgune, the network of vocational training centres that makes all the infrastructure and knowledge accumulated in vocational training available to all SMEs in the Basque Autonomous Community. Support for innovation, advanced training and technical services for innovation and improvement are the services provided through TKgune.
