Project description
The project consisted of designing the light repair part of the Renault Zoe electric vehicle.
Some car brands sell repair kits for their lights, but in this case, they didn’t have a kit like this yet. The objective of this kit is to provide a solution to a problem that they see a lot in the company, that is, the pins of the lights break frequently and they want to solve it in a simple, economical and fast way.
We got in touch with the automotive and design managers of our centre, and we saw the execution of the project as viable.
The kit has been made using 3D printing, obtaining a good result.
Tasks performed
- Meeting between the Otxarkoaga centre and the company to share the solution adopted.
- Presentation of the design made by the center. After some notes by the company, several changes were introduced and the final design was proposed.
- Prototyping of the piece for exhibition to the company.
- Functional verification test of the part in the vehicle.
- Completion of 20 units for future repairs.
