Mooring tools for gearboxes

Although SAMYLABS is a start-up company, they see improvements in machines that have already been developed and industrialised. With their current know-how, they cannot make new designs to take these improvements forward. Our participation in this project has been to share knowledge with the company to respond to the needs they have had.

Bisky Team had difficulties in machining certain carbon fibre parts to build the ‘ATLAS’ rocket and asked us if they could be machined at our centre. Due to the material, dimensions and shape of the parts, we saw many difficulties to carry out the project, but we decided to go ahead.

Perilan World manufactures a wide variety of parts that are machined on both lathes and milling machines. However, in this case, EDM wire was required to manufacture these parts and they do not have this technology.

INDUSTRIAS AUXILIARES, S.A.U. is a company dedicated to the manufacture of different furniture fittings. The company wants to carry out the machining of some complex pieces, both for their geometry and their hardness, as they cannot do it with the means they have.

In order to check whether the dimensions of a part produced by the company Hezilan are correct, we were asked to create a control tool. To do this, we first had to check the part to be checked, then design the checking tool and finally produce the product.

Additive manufacturing techniques have been used in some of our own designs, mainly in agendas, to improve their sustainability and environmental impact.

GRAFICAS ILBA manufactures cardboard packages. They have problems unloading the pallets carrying cardboard and a solution has been proposed.

The project consists of a machine designed to automatically remove from the SILENTBLOCK shock absorbers produced by Egaña caucho S.L., the threaded pins used to prevent the introduction of the rubber into the metal sheet during the manufacturing process

Through the collaboration between the Donostia International Physics Center and the Izarraitz Lanbide Heziketa LHII centre in Azkoitia, this work has been carried out for the neutrino discovery research line.
