Project description
The main objective of the project is to obtain a versatile and precise tool that allows for the controlled bending of strips of different dimensions, materials and thicknesses, ensuring uniformity and repeatability in the process.
The specifications defined for the dies have been as follows:
- Perform strip bending
- Allow angle adjustment by regulating height or pressure
- Include guidance systems to ensure correct strip placement
- Ensuring uniformity of the bending radius along the entire length
- Performing complex or consecutive bends in a single operation
- Ensuring dimensional and angular repeatability
- Minimising stresses and deformations in the bending area
The development of a suitable design using Catia V5 software has been the basis of this project. This design has been worked on through multiple iterative tests and adjustments during the die phase. The project is now in its final phase, with the production of functional parts with specific changes.
This development is part of a training and innovation project between different training centres for the company Troargra S.L., with the trade name Troqueles TAG (Troqueles Artes Gráficas) located in ADUNA (Gipuzkoa)
