The TKgune programme had its own stand at the 33rd BIEMH, held at the BEC, one of Europe’s leading industrial events.

Its presence provided an opportunity to showcase its technological capabilities and strengthen the link between vocational training and businesses.

During the fair, networking opportunities were a highlight, leading to partnerships with SMEs, agencies and collaborators, as well as the presentation of solutions such as applied artificial intelligence.

The success of the participation was due to the joint efforts of the network of vocational training centres, which are key to driving innovation and industrial competitiveness.

Why participate?

The TKgune programme was present with its own stand at the 33rd BIEMH (International Machine Tool Biennial), held recently at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC).

This event, now established as Europe’s third most important industrial trade fair, turned Bilbao into the epicentre of advanced manufacturing, robotics and industrial digitalisation.

Our stand was not only a showcase for technology, but also a strategic meeting point between vocational training and the business community.

We have had the opportunity to showcase our technological capacity, strengthen ties with the sector and explore the trends that will mark the future of the industry.

Networking and new partnerships

Beyond the exhibition itself, our presence at 33BIEMH provided a valuable opportunity for networking.

We held meetings with local SMEs, development agencies and various stakeholders, including partners from the TKgune network.

Our stand became a meeting point for professionals and companies keen to learn first-hand about the projects and partnerships we are developing.

During the fair, we showcased our capabilities in key areas such as artificial intelligence applied to various processes.

This practical approach allowed us not only to demonstrate technology, but also to engage in direct dialogue on how to apply it to the real-world challenges faced by businesses.

Featured on EITB’s “Teknopolis”

Another highlight of our time at the BEC was a visit from the “Teknopolis” team.

EITB’s science and technology programme filmed a feature at our stand to provide an up-close look at the innovation ecosystem we are fostering through vocational training

The report highlighted two examples of projects carried out by two of our centres in collaboration with leading companies in our region.

This report, which you can see below, captures the dynamism of the fair and the added value we bring to the sector.

Acknowledgement to the network of Vocational Training Centres

The success of this edition was made possible thanks to the joint efforts of the network.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the coordinators from the various Vocational Training Centres who were present at the stand representing TKgune.

Their proactive work was essential in establishing direct relationships with the attending companies, identifying new industrial challenges and spotting real opportunities for technology transfer.

The presence of the vocational training centres highlights the strength of our network and its ability to respond immediately to the competitiveness demands of Basque industry.
