TKgune projects at the LCAMP international conference

26.3 LCAMP_08A

In the context of the international LCAMP (Learner-Centric Advanced Manufacturing Platform) project, the TKgune programme has also had a prominent place in it, due to the implementation of several advanced manufacturing projects developed from the VET centres of the TKgune network, thanks to the great opportunity to collaborate in the LCAMP project.

In the last part of this initiative, we took part in the LCAMP conference held on 22 April in Vitoria-Gasteiz, at which the lines of work of the international TKgune project were analysed, its objectives and results achieved were reviewed, and four projects were presented at the Basque Country level.

Congress in Vitoria-Gasteiz on 22/04/2026

On April 22, 2026, a Vocational Training congress meeting was held in Vitoria-Gasteiz around the LCAMP project, and one of the actions of the afternoon was to present the WP4 and WP7 lines of work of LCAMP.

Thus, a one-hour workshop was held that included the following sections:

    • WP4 and WP7 targets and indicators

    • Actions and results developed in WP4 and WP7 (from all countries)

    • The TKgune project: definition and characteristics (explain it to people from different countries)

    • Presentation of 4 of the 14 TKgune projects developed in the Basque Country, by the coordinators and developers of the participating centres.

And what is LCAMP?

The LCAMP project aims to support and empower Regional Centres of Advanced Professional Excellence in Manufacturing (CoVEs) to be more resilient and better prepared to train, upskill and retrain young and adult learners to successfully face digital and green transitions.

It is part of the European Erasmus+ call. Centres and institutions from different European countries and the Basque Country’s Vocational Training participate in it.

Participants

The LCAMP consortium is composed of 19 full partners from 10 countries, of which 9 are educational organisations, 7 are industrial companies and 4 are vocational and industrial associations. The consortium is also supported by 61 associate partners.

The main participants from the Basque Country were Tknika and Miguel Altuna, with the external agent being the AFM cluster (Association of Machine Manufacturers).

Lines of work

The project is divided into different work packages (WP – Work Package), and the WP4 and WP7 packages are the ones that directly coincide with the objectives of Tknika’s TKgune program.

The objective of these lines of work has been to collaborate with companies and contribute to the incorporation of technological innovation within the context of advanced manufacturing:

WP4: Development of applied innovation projects in collaboration with advanced manufacturing companies through centres and agents of the LCAMP alliance.

WP7: Connection between VET and small and medium-sized enterprises. The European ADMA methodology has mainly been used to diagnose companies and detect needs.

Thanks to the contribution of hours from the LCAMP project, 15 schools in the Basque Country have developed innovative TKgune advanced manufacturing projects for small and medium-sized companies in the Basque Country, aligned with the philosophy of the LCAMP project.
